Ake recommended this shop as they are specialised only in gold casing for amulets...you'll see why when you look at their range of designs.
The shop is located at the section of Rachawong Street (Chinatown - Yaowarat), opp Grand China Hotel.
I would say price wise is about same as other shops, but the quality in gold as well as their worksmanship are superb! Especially the acrylic waterproof casing, couldn't find anywhere else that I could match. They do accept credit cards if you burst your budget, just add a 3% on top of your purchase.
Lady boss and most staff can speak English, Mandarin and Teochew
Acrylic waterproof casing work on site
Plenty of range and designs to choose from
For those who are unsure how the cost of the gold case works;
here's a brief explanation
Always look at
the latest gold price, they update it every now and then.
You may find them written on the shop glass front; as well as on a board inside the shop.
Most sections of the trays have price codes like this - this represents the cost
of worksmanship...depending on the design, if it's a complicated and
detailed design; the charge is higher. Above is a picture showing this
this section - tray of gold casings' worksmanship cost between 5000 to 9000 baht
So...if the
gold weighs 10gram and the current price is 18750baht..having a worksmanship of
5000baht...the price for the item will cost like this:
18750 divide by 15.16 multiply by 10gram and add 5000baht = 17368baht
18750 divide by 15.16 multiply by 10gram and add 5000baht = 17368baht
