Nakhon Pathom - Wat Sam ngan - LP Yeam

Wat Sam Ngan was famous for its Kunmantong since the days of Luang Phor Tae.

Many years ago before Luang Phor Tae and Wat Sam Ngan was famous, there was a story that when Luang Phor Tae was travelling to the city in Bangkok by boat. Upon arriving at the dock, Luang Phor Tae realised that it was pretty late. He then went over to a small stall to consume his meal.

After consuming his meal, LP Tae wanted to pay for his meal. The owner of the stall insisted that there was no need for LP Tae to pay.  LP Tae then took out a kunmantong which was made by him and gave it to the stall owner. He told the stall owner to pray with faith and believe and in return, the kunmantong will help him.

The stall owner did according to what LP Tae had advised him and soon, the stall owner became wealthy. From a small stall, it became a shop.  The owner wanted to thank LP Tae, however, he did not know the name nor the temple he came from.

One year later, when LP Tae returned to the same place, he was shocked to see that the stall was missing and had changed into a shop. He thought he had went to the wrong place until the owner came out and greeted LP Tae. He thanked LP Tae and his kunmantong for his help and from then, LP Tae and Wat Sam Ngan shot to fame.

Luang Phor Yeam studied under LP Tae for many years and has the knowlegde of Visha and the art of creating kunmantong as well. Luang Phor Yeam took over the position of the abbot of Wat Sam Ngan after LP Tae passed away.
