This wat is located in the centre of Phitsanulok City, on the Nan River. It is in a line of temples, and is noted for having a important and beautiful golden image of the Buddha in the ordination hall. This is named: Phra Nang Phaya. The temple was built by the Thai King of Ayutthaya Phra Borom Trai Lokanot (1431-1448 CE). At the rear of the ordination hall are two small original stupas.
Location
Located on Putthabucha Road, near Naresuan bridge, the temple is a 20-minute walk or 30-baht samlor ride from the clock tower in the center of town.
